HealthNet TPO offers ground-breaking and unconventional solutions that foster self-reliance and promote sustainable health care that is accessible to all.   HealthNet TPO in Afghanistan aims to improve the health status of the people in Afghanistan by supporting the local communities and the Government of Afghanistan in the development of a sustainable health care system.  HealthNet TPO is working in Afghanistan since 1994, implementing integrated health projects managed mainly by national staff and supported technically by expatriate staff from the headquarter office. HealthNet TPO Afghanistan is providing Primary Health Care, Mental Health and psychosocial services, fighting malaria and supporting Mother & Child Health Care in terms of providing training for Community Midwifes and to conduct operation research. Health Net TPO is currently implementing projects in 22 provinces and the major program it implements are Malaria Control program, BPHS/EPHS, C-IMCI , CME, CHNE, public private partnership, nutrition and Mental Health and Psychosocial program through a community system strengthening approach. 

Job Description

  • To prepare and implement appropriate micro plan for outreach and mobile programs under the supervision of MHT in-charge and related supervisor
  • To have an update list of the EPI and MCH dropouts to follow them in outreach sessions
  • To store, handle and maintain vaccines as per Afghan N-EPI/UNICEF/WHO protocols
  • To dispose of contaminated waste in a responsible manner to prevent exposure
  • To provide EPI activities in mobile team and out-reach.
  • To maintain a high level of cold chain management all the time
  • To respond immediately to any cold chain irregularity using local possibility including sending Vaccines to other closest health facility with cold chain system 
  • To report immediately any irregularity of cold chain to supervisor
  • To mobilize the community to immunize their children and women of reproductive age (social mobilization)
  • To provide appropriate patient education to prevent dropout and increase coverage
  • To provide health education for her/his client to SDO and outreach sessions
  • To identify and report problems that interfere in the delivery of services
  • To identify and prevent areas of missed opportunity within the MHT target area.
  • To meet weekly with other MHT staff for program development and problem solving
  • To attend HealthNet sponsored training programs
  • Provide complete accurate clear and on time monthly activity report
  • Tracing target achievement on monthly base
  • Other tasks which assign by line manager.
 

Job Requirements

  • Graduated from mid -Level health institute
  • At least 1 years work experience in immunization.
  • Must successfully complete immunization initial training
  • Previous experience is desirable
  • Must be fluent in local languages
