About HADAAF

  • HADAAF is a non-governmental, non for profit and non-sectarian Afghan NGO founded in March 2004 and legally registered with the Ministry of Economy in 2006. Since its inception, HADAAF has been implementing programs in different sectors such as; health, education, livelihood, emergency response and community’s development mostly in hard to reach area of Afghanistan. Under its programs HADAAF is targeting the most vulnerable communities; such as marginalized women and children, people with disabilities, internal and external displaced population in different parts of the country. HADAAF has adapted a strategic approach of partnership and collaboration throughout its program implementation. Thus far, HADAAF has implementing projects/programs in partnership with MoPH, IMC, UNICEF, WHO, FHI 360, Health Net TPO, UNDP Save the Children International, Swedish Committee for Afghanistan, Johanniter and Cordaid in Nuristan, Urozgan, Ghor, Farah, Kunar, Laghman and Kabul provinces. This collaborative approach has enabled HADAAF to get access to hard-to-reach areas and implement quality service delivery.

Job Description

Position Summary:

The Female Vaccinator of Gulan CHC is responsible for providing of basic package of vaccination services to new-burns, young children and women inside of the clinic.

Major Area of Responsibilities:

  • Provide basic package of vaccinations to the new-burns, young children and women inside of the CHC
  • Provide each individual beneficiaries with vaccination card
  • Proper registration of each client in standard registration book
  • Ensure all vaccinations are temperature controlled and stored correctly
  • Providing information about benefit of vaccines and insisting on keeping of vaccination card on good manner
  • Daily (morning and afternoon) controlling of temperature of refrigerator and recording it in the format adhere on the top of the refrigerator 
  • Providing of monthly reports to the in-charge of the clinic
  • Microplanning for vaccination at outreach
  • Conduct outreach in areas where male vaccinator is not able to reach to women target population
  • Consider waste management and waste disposal at vaccination section
  • Laise with the CHS to find and provide vaccination to default patients
  • Active search for target population/clients among the patients attending the HF and provide vaccination shots to children and Women of Child bearing age to avoid missed opportunity
  • Actively mobilize patietns and clients coming at the HF and in case of need at community level for vaccination to improve vaccine coverage among the communities.
  • Refer patients to MCh and nutrition services based on their eligibility to avoid missed opportunity.

Additional Job Responsibilities

The duties and responsibilities set out above are not exhaustive and the post holder may be required to carry out additional duties from time to time which are reasonable in relation to their level of skills and experience

Job Requirements

  • Able to speak/write in Pashto and Dari with clarity and ease.
  • Strength in interpersonal, communication and presentation skills.
  • Flexibility and willingness to change work practices and hours
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Cooperative and helpful attitude and willingness to work outside normal business hours as needed

Education and Experience:

  • Having of verify vaccination certificate
  • At least 2 years’ experience working in the hospital/clinicl as a vaccinator
