Job Description

Job Description;

Implementation and management of the Livestock& poultry project in all  Province, including planning, documentation, monitoring evaluation, research, and training. To liaise with appropriate government entities to ensure that the project meets the needs of the neediest communities efficiently and adequately.

Duties & Responsibilities:

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES

Coordination and implementation of the project by facilitating administrative support.

Manage project staff through performance based management.

Maintain project Detailed Implementation Plan

Design and implement a DM&E monitoring plan to measure project impact using logframe indicators

Manage project budget and track project expenditure on a timely basis.

Work in close liaison with and coordinate technical issues to Ministry of Agriculture, especially regarding the establishment of artificial insemination department

Support project staff to prepare training materials on livestock & poultry and deliver training

Collaborate with and share learning of the project to all project stakeholders

Ensure effective management and supervision of Veterinarian training officer and Community Development Workers

Provide guidance on the management of all human and material resources linked to the project.

Prepare monthly update report and submit to supervisor by the 30th of each month.

Ensure that distribution of commodities is used to achieve program objectives and ‘do no harm’ to the existing locally systems

Any other duties as delegated by supervisor.

Job Requirements

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES AND ATTITUDES REQUIRED

The following knowledge, skills and abilities maybe acquired through a combination of formal schooling, self-education, prior experience, or on the job training:


Education to degree preferred

Previous experience delivering agriculture/community development projects

Work experience in project management at least 8 years with NGOs

Previous experience managing staff, female and male

Previous experience managing project finances

Interpersonal and managerial and conflict resolution skills.

Communication skills and knowledge of local communities.

Strong organizational and management skills.

Understanding of Gender issue.

Experience in Survey, Research and Studies.

Work flexibility.

Strong capacity building and facility skills

Supervision skill of project activities in the field.

Strong capacity building and facilitation skills.

Knowledge of MS Office and statistical programs

Experience using mobile/electronic (Kobo Toolbox/ODK) data collection

Ability to work in a team environment

Strong skills in oral and written English and Farsi

Previous experience in

Conducting relevant emergency and resilience-related studies,

Baseline surveys,

Evaluations, 

Impact assessments
