Job Description

ROLE PURPOSE:

The Recruitment Senior Officer would be supporting the end-to-end recruitment for the SCI Country Office. The position will often act as a generalist being part of the Human Resources Department in support of various HR functions including pay and benefits, HRIS and other HR daily business operations. S/he will be SCI Afg vetting focal person.

KEY AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY:

 

Recruitment

  • Conducts end-to-end recruitment ensuring that the process is fair, transparent, competitive and consistent with SCI and local regulations.
  • Review job descriptions and ensure that they are developed in a consistent manner and according to the established salary grades.
  • Conducts job evaluation process for new or updated functions to ensure alignment in current scale and structure
  • Conducts applicants screening processes – longlisting, interviews, exam
  • Ensure proper and timely vetting and background check of new employees.
  • Prepare Offer Letters and Employment Contracts in line with established procedures.
  • Updates trackers and HRIS systems
  • Assist field office recruitment staff in their recruitment requirements
  • Assist the recruitment team in ensuring all recruitment actions are addressed and processed on a timely manner
  • Provides support in HRIS systems troubleshooting

 

Onboarding

  • Maintain and regularly update employee HR files as per established procedures.
  • Ensure newly hired staff submits complete and accurate pre-employment documents
  • Ensures proper endorsement of staff to different work units for proper onboarding process
  • Review and update staff lists to ensure all new hired staff are included in payroll

 

Vetting Process

  • Conducts vetting process for all potential SCI Afg staff including community based personnel
  • Review submitted documents and provides clearance for employment
  • Maintain vetting tracker and ensure that those with unclear records are not hired by SCI Afg.

 

  • Perform any other relevant task as assigned by the supervisor.

Job Requirements

EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

Essential:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in HR Management, Business Administration or any other relevant field with 2-3 years of relevant work experience with international organizations.
  • Experience in end to end recruitment as well as delivering client-oriented HR services.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage different priorities simultaneously.
  • Strong organization and prioritization skills.
  • Flexible and results oriented
  • Strong oral and written communication skills in English, Pashto and Dari languages.
  • Willingness to learn, adapt and develop oneself as an HR professional.
  • Good understanding of computer applications including MS Office.
