Job Description

The accountant will be responsible to enter the related project financial transactions into Quick Books and preparing the monthly & yearly financial reports (GJ, GL, Income and expenditure, Balance sheet) from Quick books.
He /She should enter all project budgets, funds, and taxation into Quick Books.
He/She will be responsible for preparing monthly & yearly financial reports for the head of the finance & management team from Quick Books.
Review of all cash advances liquidations to ensure correct coding and adequate supporting documentation is attached.
To maintain up-to-date bookkeeping of the project’s financial transactions.
To manage and track petty cash accounts.
Ensure data is entered and transactions are properly recorded in the system.
To prepare monthly expenses reports and maintain a clear monthly cash book, bank book & balance record.
To ensure that all accounting system is done as per the rules and ready for auditing.
To prepare and reconcile all types of vouchers (advance, expense, and receipt vouchers) with the cashier on monthly bases.
To process and track all payments of the project.
To properly handle operational expenses of the project.
To file all financial documents and label the files as advised by the system.
The accountant will be responsible for updating monthly reporting and clearance of project financial hard documents at the provincial and central levels.
He/She will responsible for the projects report to enter the online database of MoE.
He /She will be responsible for checking of 100% of vouchers are prepared according to organization policies.
He/She should travel to the province based on the need for the supervision & clearance of projects.
He/She should clear all the project hard and soft documents on monthly bases.
He/She will be responsible to complete any other task which is assigned by the related supervisor.

Job Requirements

University degree in finance or economics or equivalent certified by relevant higher education authority in Afghanistan or other countries.
At least 4 year experience with Quick Books software.
Training in finance reporting and training in software (e.g. Quick books).
Fluently in Dari/Pashto and English languages
Preference will be given to native resident
