Job Description

GENERAL SUMMARY: Nuese  is responsible for the management IPD of patients , follow of medical doctor order , dressing and follow up of hygiene and sanitation of bed rooms,  provide the quality service with dignity for clients.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Nurse should follow the YHDO rules and regulations and policies.
  2. To keep regular clinical records and statistics.
  3. Nurse will provide the abscess management, dressing, injection services to PWIDs in DIC and outreach.
  4. Assist the medical doctors and apply the MD order.
  5. Will sterilize the minor surgical sets and other and timely the sterilized equipment’s should be presented in time of need.
  6. Whenever or some time the medical doctor not available the nurse is responsible to follow the all daily procedures of PWID treatment management.
  7. To assess, manage and treat individual clients with minor illness according to agreed protocols.
  8. To participate in Harm reduction training for clients, specifically concerning Safe Injecting and Overdose Prevention and management.
  9. Prepare monthly activities report to his/her facility coordinator.
  10. To provide medical primary care (injections, bandages, vaccinations) for the PWUD in the DIC every day.
  11. He will supervise and ensure about the clinic sanitation, and will have close coordination with outreach team.
  12. To perform emergency first care, if needed.
  13. Refer the patients with consultation of health facility manager to hospital .

Perform other related activities assigned by his line man

Job Requirements

  1. Graduated from the medical institute ( Nursing Field)
  2. Two years’ experience in health related field
  3. Experience of working in managing health projects, using of medical laboratory technology (complete Blood count and HIV, other rapid tests)
  4. Knowledge on use of computer office program
  5. Excellent oral and writing skills in Pashto, Dari and good in English language
