HealthNet TPO Afghanistan is providing Primary Health Care, Mental Health and psychosocial services, fighting malaria and supporting Mother & Child Health Care in terms of providing training for Community Midwifes and to conduct operation research. Health Net TPO is currently implementing projects in 22 provinces and the major program it implements are Malaria Control program, BPHS/EPHS, C-IMCI , CME, CHNE, public private partnership, nutrition and Mental Health and Psychosocial program through a community system strengthening approach. 

Job Description

  • Conduct psycho education session for the clients and the community through the Mobile health teams.
  • Assist the mobile health team in terms of public awareness and community dialogue sessions.
  • Maintain proper record with full details of the conducted sessions through the mobile health team in the community
  • Perform/conduct GBV case management in the outreach team and provide survivor centered approach services, and psycho-social counselling to GBV survivors.
  • Provide psychosocial counseling services on daily basis to the clients.
  • Maintain regular services provision with keeping the proper record and documentation.
  • Register and keep records of all clients receiving counseling services
  • Fill/submit monthly statistic form and reports to provincial officer.
  • Keeping all records confidential.
  • To facilitate conflict and non-conflict victims’ visits with the medical doctor for proper case management.
  • To work closely with the doctor/midwife for implementation of standard treatment and referral protocol for GBV victims.
  • To conduct regular, follow up of the conflict and non-conflict affected IDPs and non-displaced people in the community.
  • To ensure confidentiality including all client records.
  • Try best to protect victims and harmed people from further harm.
  • To follow procedures ensuring the confidentiality of GBV victim at every step
  • To follow ethical guidelines of the IDPs and non-displaced people in terms of psychosocial services provision to them.
  • Report on weekly, monthly and quarterly basis to immediate supervisor.
  • Attend all relevant meetings requested by supervisor relevant to the project goals.
  • Assist in other duties in the health facility, requested by supervisor.

Job Requirements

  • At least having Baccalaureate degree and bachelor degree is preferable.
  • At least 2 years’ full time experience of working in psychosocial field.
  • Ability to work long hours, often under pressure
  • Good practical skills in terms of Psycho-social counselling
  • Good Communication Skill
