Job Description

The Hospital Supervisor responsibilities will include, but not limited to:

 

  • Supportive supervision of the Hospitals based on problem priority
  • Ensure that MoPH Hospital documents and guild lines are available in Hospital level
  • Ensure implementation of Standard Base Management (SBM) standards in selected hospitals as well.
  • Builds the capacity of management and technical staff
  • Attends the morning reports on random basis and provides feedback
  • Facilitates exposure visits among hospitals
  • Digitalizes the hospital system at possible extends
  • Provides facility for video conference of specialists with other tertiary/teaching hospitals.
  • Ensures that P4P indicators are achieved at best possible manner
  • Ensures there is no data discrepancy at different wards of hospital
  • Ensures the unique and effective management in the hospitals/CHC+s
  • Participants in the meetings of Hospital Community Boards and provides sound inputs
  • Ensures that all committees in the hopitals/CHC+s are established and are well functioning
  • Ensure Assessing knowledge, skills, attitudes and behavior of Hospital staff.
  • Monitor performance of all Hospitals according to quality assurance and NMC check lists and take corrective actions as needed.
  • Provide written feedbacks to hospital managers
  • Assist the hospital director, Medical director and Nursing director on preparing of monthly / quarterly work plan and reports.
  • Prioritize their needs and develop a work plan for the capacity building and other hospital management issues
  • Provide technical assistance to hospital director regarding to hospital technical and management issues.
  • Support the hospital management team in problem solving and decision making.
  • Maintain regular supportive supervision visits from the health delivery services provided by hospital in order to the MoPH standards and national guidelines based on BPHS standards.
  • Introduce, support and supervise the implementation of standards in the hospital.
  • Coordinate and share his/ findings and recommendations with hospital coordination team
  • Prepare the lesson plans and required teaching aids for conducting of different on job trainings
  • Assist the hospital director, Medical director and Nursing director on preparing of monthly / quarterly work plan and reports
  • Conduct regular Weekly/ Monthly hospital management meetings have been organized and meeting minutes are available
  • Ensure Providing constructive feedbacks to the supervised
  • Actively participation and all Hospital activities in provincial level.
  • Provide monthly activity report to technical manager
 

Job Requirements

  • Master’s degree in public health or a related field. Medical Degree or MSC in public health or medical field, is an advantage.(preferred to female)
  • Have at least 5 years of experience managing health services delivery (or a bachelor’s degree and 10 years of experience)
  •  be able to communicate in Pashto, Dari and working knowledge of English language, and should have excellent computer skills.

He or she must be honest, active, humble, punctual and well mannered (polite and cooperative with all members of AADA team)
