About HADAAF

  • HADAAF is a non-governmental, non for profit and non-sectarian Afghan NGO founded in March 2004 and legally registered with the Ministry of Economy in 2006. Since its inception, HADAAF has been implementing programs in different sectors such as; health, education, livelihood, emergency response and community’s development mostly in hard to reach area of Afghanistan. Under its programs HADAAF is targeting the most vulnerable communities; such as marginalized women and children, people with disabilities, internal and external displaced population in different parts of the country. HADAAF has adapted a strategic approach of partnership and collaboration throughout its program implementation. Thus far, HADAAF has implementing projects/programs in partnership with MoPH, IMC, UNICEF, WHO, FHI 360, Health Net TPO, UNDP Save the Children International, Swedish Committee for Afghanistan, Johanniter and Cordaid in Nuristan, Urozgan, Ghor, Farah, Kunar, Laghman and Kabul provinces. This collaborative approach has enabled HADAAF to get access to hard-to-reach areas and implement quality service delivery.

Job Description

  1. Responsible for all pharmacy activities of the project;
  2. Regular supervision & monitoring of pharmaceutical activities, and provides on-the-job training as needed;
  3. Assisting in preparing an annual action plan for the supervision of all field activities based on the project’s work-plan;
  4. Ensuring that the set norms and protocols according to quality assurance tools are in place;
  5. Together with the logistic officer receiving all medicine supply and medical equipment and checking their accuracy;
  6. Ensuring safe, clean and proper storage of all medicine and other medical equipment located in the warehouse;
  7. Stocking and issuing medicines, medical materials and equipment properly;
  8. Using a standard method for stock management;
  9. Providing medical orders according to project health programs;
  10. Identifying and estimating drug requirements and making a buffer stock for keeping the balance of “offer and demand” for medicines, medical materials and equipment;
  11. Controlling the quality, expire date and maintenance of medicines, medical materials and equipment and uses (FIFO) rules;
  12. Managing inventories of medicines, medical materials and equipment;
  13. Setting up a computerized package to keep an easy, quick and accurate registration of medical stock and designs and uses stock cards;
  14. Reporting activities, including receive and issue of medicine on monthly basis, and
  15. Performing any other required project-related tasks.
 

Job Requirements

  1. Pharmacist (BSc);
  2. Minimum 2-years’ experience on management of pharmacy;
  3. Fluent in formal country languages and moderate knowledge on English language;
  4. Knowledge of commonly used computer softwares, and
  5. Ability to interact successfully with personnel.
