YHDO is a non-governmental and non-for-profit organization established in 2009, registered with ministry of economy in Afghanistan. YHDO works with interdisciplinary professionals to develop and implement innovative, culturally appropriate, evidence based interventions.

 

Job Description

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Social workers should follow the YHDO policy, rules, and regulations.
  2. Perform outreach visits, identify and refer clients to OST center
  3. To dispense methadone according to the protocol
  4. Support the OST team in regard to logistics and procurement
  5. Conduct regular follow-up visits with clients to monitor progress and provide ongoing support
  6. Collaborate with other members of the OST team to ensure that clients receive comprehensive care
  7. Provide education and support to clients' families and caregivers
  8. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all client interactions and interventions
  9. Participate in case conferences and team meetings to discuss client care and treatment planning
  10. Attend training and professional development opportunities as required
  11. Prepare monthly activities report to his line manager
  12. Perform other related activities assigned by his line manage

Job Requirements

Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's degree in social work or a related field
  2. Two years of social work experience with individuals who use the drug
  3. Knowledge of harm reduction principles and practices
  4. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and drug users
  5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  6. Strong counseling and referral skills
  7. Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards
