Job Description

JOB SCOPE / OBJECTIVES:

The M&E assistant is fully responsible to manage the project routine monitoring data with closed coordination of national, regional and provincial M&E staff as well as with FMFB branch manager and branch client risk officer. The M&E assistant will further ensure the quality of the collected data in regular basis and will provide comprehensive feedback for data quality and verifications. The M&E assistant will also undertake regular field visits in all coverage area for program strengthening and follow up mechanism.

(MAIN RESPONSIBILITS AND TASKS):

  • The M&E assistant will closely work with FMFB branch manager to ensure the beneficiary selection as per the project criteria
  • The M&E assistant will be responsible to undertake process monitoring during the project beneficiary selection and will further verify in the field
  • The M&E assistant will closely work with FMFB client risk officer to identify if any of the beneficiary could not meet the project criteria
  • The M&E assistant will closely monitor the loan distribution to the selected beneficiaries
  • The M&E assistant will undertake field visit to develop case studies and success stories
  • The M&E assistant will share the monitoring findings to AKAH national and regional offices as well as with FMFB branch manager
  • Make sure to provide regular feedback if there are any gaps
  • Responsible to prepare the monitoring report and share with all concern staff both at the national and regional level including FMFB branch manager
  • Make sure to have regular field visits for further data verification and data quality assurance
 

Job Requirements

(SPECIFICATIONS (MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS):

Education:  Diploma in business, economics, computer science

 

Experience: At least 1 year of M&E/data management work experience with national or international organizations, banking experience will be a plus point

 

Skills:

Fluency in reading, writing, and speaking in the local language and in English.

  • Flexible, positive attitude committed, and the ability to deliver with tight deadlines.
  • A team player with skills in providing effective feedback to colleagues and management.
  • Ability to travel inside the country as and when required.

 

Technical Skills:

  • Monitoring and evaluation techniques and processes
  • Data collection and management
  • Good communication skills
  • Good level of proficiency in Excel and quantitative analyse

 

 Other Skills:

  • Time management and ability to prioritise multiple tasks
  • Self-motivated person able to work without close supervision
  • Able to work effectively in a diverse team environment
  • Travelling to far flung areas independently for M&E

 

Personal Characteristics:   Team building, soft spoken and interactive with respect about the local culture and tradition.
