About Move Welfare Organization

MOVE is a National humanitarian, independent, non-political, non-sectarian organization which is aiming for an equitable & quality standard health care for all Afghans throughout its endless effort to response to highly vulnerable group, mother & children, who are victim of various deadly diseases as well as having the high rates of morbidity & mortality in the country.

The policy of MOVE is to conduct the activities honorably and ethically, in the illumination of public accountability and consistency with applicable laws, rules, guidelines and practices to non-governmental agencies.                         
 MOVE Welfare Organization has been founded in 2005 by a group of professionals in health care management. MOVE was registered with Ministry of Economy (Reg. No. 45) & signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Ministry of Public Health on 21.11.2005 (MoU No. 05). Since January 2011, STEP Health and Development Organization Merged with MOVE Welfare Organization and working as on entity under the name of MOVE Welfare Organization.

Job Description

  1. Act according to MOVE organization policies and procedures and represent MOVE in all related issues.
  2. Work with a cooperative attitude and keep a high standard of quality
  3.  Prepare a detailed mentoring plan for the first, second, and third mentorship visits for the FHHs of the Bamyan, Daikundi, and Badghis provinces.
  4. Support preparation for learning sessions (e.g. training supplies, care of models, commodities, learning tools)
  5. Conduct baseline assessment from the FHHs before starting a mentorship program jointly with the mentors and provincial RH officers in the three mentioned provinces.
  6. Supervise the mentorship programs in the three mentioned provinces on regular bases.  
  7. Coordinate mobile phone-based support and coordination with the provincial HR offices, mentors, and service providers and support the practice of skills of midwives in the provision of services.
  8. Conduct end-line assessment from the FHHs before starting a mentorship program jointly with the mentorship program coordinator and provincial RH officer.
  9. Support provincial HR officers, mentors, and midwives of the FHHs to discuss and analyze and submit data every month.
  10.  Assure sufficient and proper record keeping of activities including mentoring plans, implementation progress, and mentoring visits.
  11. Collect the reports from project offices as required including key issues, achievements, successes, problems, and lessons learned.
  12.  Maintain coordination with other related stakeholders, such as UNFPA, AMA, and MoPH.
  13. Participate in routine progress reviews and data presentations identifying trends and adjusting as required.
  14. Ensure the implementation of national policies, strategies, and protocols related to Reproductive Health and Emergency Obstetric Care in all FHHs
  15. To supervise UNFPA project activities at FHHs, HPs, and communities of the related provinces.   
  16. Training needs assessment of Midwives regarding their knowledge and skill in RMNCAH-related activities.
  17. de UTsupervision of the EPIast 2 years Provide HQIP implementation plan, and conduct and follow it regularly.
  18. Update and provide monthly HQIP action plans, feedback and report.
  19. To prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual reports from HQIP, RH, and CBHC activities.
  20. de UTsupervision of the EPIast 2 years To design and implement skills upgrade training based on need, and provide on-the-job training and a refresher course for related staff.

      Do any other related job delegated by the line managers.

  • Have interpersonal and managerial and conflict-resolution skills
  • Communication skills and knowledge of local communities
  • Robust skills in facilitation, team building, and coordination
  • Experience working with Microsoft Office software applications
  • Commitment and willingness to travel to rural areas in the country
  • Understand the FHH Concept
