About Move Welfare Organization

MOVE is a National humanitarian, independent, non-political, non-sectarian organization which is aiming for an equitable & quality standard health care for all Afghans throughout its endless effort to response to highly vulnerable group, mother & children, who are victim of various deadly diseases as well as having the high rates of morbidity & mortality in the country.

The policy of MOVE is to conduct the activities honorably and ethically, in the illumination of public accountability and consistency with applicable laws, rules, guidelines and practices to non-governmental agencies.                         
 MOVE Welfare Organization has been founded in 2005 by a group of professionals in health care management. MOVE was registered with Ministry of Economy (Reg. No. 45) & signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Ministry of Public Health on 21.11.2005 (MoU No. 05). Since January 2011, STEP Health and Development Organization Merged with MOVE Welfare Organization and working as on entity under the name of MOVE Welfare Organization.

Job Description

  1. Act according MOVE organization policies and procedures.
  2. Develop spirit of cooperation and understanding among members of program.
  3. Responsible for planning, implementation, supervision and monitoring the Mental Health / Disability component related activities in all HFs and CBHC program.
  4. Responsible for implementation and follow up Mental Health / Disability in HFs and CBHC.
  5. To understand the verification of HF performance system and its importance for quality improvement and staff salary adjustment and payments.
  6. Responsible for monitoring and verification of data in specified indicators.
  7. Training need assessment of HF staff regarding Mental Health / Disability and develop capacity building plan in collaboration with DPM for conducting training for HFs staff.
  8. Conduct supervision and monitoring from Mental Health / Disability activities in the HFs based on project supervision and monitoring plans.
  9. Analyze and compile Mental Health / Disability data on monthly base and provide the feedback to HFs.
  10. Work for the quality improvement of Mental Health / Disability services. Provide Job aid and tech materials for Health provider to perform quality services for community.
  11. Conduct regular meeting with community leaders regarding community mobilization for obstetrics referral cases.
  12. Coordinate the Mental Health / Disability activities with PEMT/PPHD and other related actors and regularly attend the Mental Health / Disability subcommittee meetings at provincial level.
  13. Prepare weekly, monthly, quarterly and annually reports and submit to DPM.
  14. Do whatever related job, is delegated by the Project manager.

Job Requirements

  • Interpersonal and managerial and conflict resolution skills.
  • Communication skills and knowledge of local communities.
  • Knowledge of English, Dari and Pashto Languages.

Negotiate skills in multicultural and multilingual environment
