About HADAAF

  • HADAAF is a non-governmental, non for profit and non-sectarian Afghan NGO founded in March 2004 and legally registered with the Ministry of Economy in 2006. Since its inception, HADAAF has been implementing programs in different sectors such as; health, education, livelihood, emergency response and community’s development mostly in hard to reach area of Afghanistan. Under its programs HADAAF is targeting the most vulnerable communities; such as marginalized women and children, people with disabilities, internal and external displaced population in different parts of the country. HADAAF has adapted a strategic approach of partnership and collaboration throughout its program implementation. Thus far, HADAAF has implementing projects/programs in partnership with MoPH, IMC, UNICEF, WHO, FHI 360, Health Net TPO, UNDP Save the Children International, Swedish Committee for Afghanistan, Johanniter and Cordaid in Nuristan, Urozgan, Ghor, Farah, Kunar, Laghman and Kabul provinces. This collaborative approach has enabled HADAAF to get access to hard-to-reach areas and implement quality service delivery.

Job Description

Position Summary:

The Male MD doctor of MHTs is responsible for leading provision of health, nutrition, COVID19 preventive and CBHC care services to the Communities in catchment areas of the HF. Provide OPD services to patients and clients of (Tani, Spera and Maton) MHTs in Khost province. In addition to the specific duties outlined below, the male MD doctor of these three MHTs contributing to monthly HMIS reporting and take health care (Doing of OPD, tallying, registration and advising of medicine base on need of each individual) to all coming patients to the clinic. He will also be taking part in community monthly meeting, represent HADAAF/JIA at the community level forum meetings in absence of the Medical Supervisor.  

 

Major Area of Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for overall management and leadership of the MHTs staff,
  • Conduct weekly and monthly meetings with MHT staff for further improvement of the services deliveries
  • Conduct regular monthly meetings with health shora members and shared with request them for any required support that need on community level
  • Observe closely all MHTs staff to achieve project objectives and targets effectively and efficiently
  • Provide direct patient care in examination and treatment, registration of patients in registration book, tally sheet and providing of timely report of notifiable diseases
  • Do daily OPD, provide immediate report of suspected epidemic disease to AHF project supervisor
  • Provide support and on job training to the clinic staff as needed
  • Provide and maintain a good level of hygiene in working place
  • Refer the patient that cannot be covered in MHTs
  • Provide weekly/monthly HMIS reports from all sections of the clinics and submit it to AHF project supervisor
  • Review monthly plans of all section/staff of the CHC and ensure smooth implementation of the planned activities.
  • Provide weekly/monthly HMIS reports from all sections of the clinics and submit it to AHF project supervisor
  • Ensure safe management and disposal of waste at the HF
  • Actively participate in community mobilization and ensure smooth implementation of all planned services.
  • Assist medical supervisor in searching and selection of the CHWs and support activities of the existing CHWs

Additional Job Responsibilities

The duties and responsibilities set out above are not exhaustive and the post holder may be required to carry out additional duties from time to time which are reasonable in relation to their level of skills and experience

Job Requirements

  • Able to speak/write in Pashto and Dari with clarity and ease.
  • Strength in interpersonal, communication and presentation skills.
  • Flexibility and willingness to change work practices and hours
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Cooperative and helpful attitude and willingness to work outside normal business hours as needed

Education and Experience:

  • MD Degree from recognize university
  • At least 3 years’ experience working in the hospital/relevant field as doctor
