About Organization for Research & Community Development (ORCD )

Organization for Research & Community Development (ORCD) is a Non-governmental, Non-political, Non-profitable and independent organization founded in 2010 by a group of community development and research specialist. The aim of the organization is to contribute to the development of Afghanistan as an integral part of the international community. It envisages accomplishing its aims by building local capacities, generating evidence in various disciplines, promoting evidence-based on best practices and implementing development projects aimed at community development at the grass root level. ORCD is a multi-donor funded NGO, implementing health, agriculture and community development projects in several provinces of the country.
ORCD would like to implement Mobile Health and Nutrition Services (MHNT) Logar province funded by (UNICEF) for which it would like to seek qualified people.

Job Description

Field level monitoring

  • Provide technical support to programme officer to develop monthly workplan for social mobilizers
  • Provide technical support to programme officer to develop cascade training plan
  • Development of pre-test and post-test questionnaire for the cascade training and TOT
  • Compilation of the results of pre-test and post-test of cascade training and TOT
  • Conduct visits and monitor training sessions, produce and share monitoring reports to address the findings.
  • Conduct field visits, monitor CE sessions, produce and share monitoring reports to address the findings.
  • Provide hands on coaching to social mobilizers according to the findings and gaps were identified during monitoring visit

Record Keeping and Documentation

  • Collect monthly data from programme officers
  • Provide support to finalize district specific compiled micro plan
  • Compiled monthly data and develop provincial programme progress report
  • Filled up AAP data format provided by UNICEF
  • Provide support to programme officer to develop evidence specific case studies and most significant change stories (quarterly)
  • Take initiatives as per the direction of programme manager to conduct quick assessment.

Coordination:

  • Participate coordination meeting and dialogue with district level stake holders
  • Participate in district level coordination meeting called by different authorities and present the progress and challenges
  • Coordinate with other CSO partners activities those are working with UNICEF in other programmes
  • Participate monthly coordination meeting in UNICEF
  • Address the guidance of UNICEF, update data and address the guidance

Any other task assigned by senior management staff or line manager

Job Requirements

  1. Having Social science/ Business administration/ Master of Business Administration
  2. At least 4 years’ experience in relevant field and supervision of projects. 
  3. Fluent in local languages and work knowledge of English.
  4. Well familiar with Ms. Office package, internet and data entry.
  5. Able to travel to remote areas.
  6. Have effective communication and problem-solving skills.
  7. Knowledge about local environment and context.
  8. Local resident of ER is preferred
