About Concern Worldwide- Afghanistan

Identity: Concern Worldwide is a non-governmental, international, humanitarian organization dedicated to the reduction of suffering and working towards the ultimate elimination of extreme poverty in the world’s poorest countries. Currently, Concern has been working in Afghanistan since 1998, when it responded to an earthquake disaster in Takhar province.  Currently Concern has been working in Takhar and Badakhshan provinces undertaking both emergency response and long term developmental work in the areas of livelihood security, primary education and Water, Sanitation and Hygiene.

Job Description

Planning and Scheduling for Trainings.

  • Prepare weekly and monthly training plan, conduct training sessions based on the plan ensuring training activities are conducted in timely and effectively manner.
  • Preparing training materials adapting MoPH-PND accredited MIYCN and adolescent nutrition training materials.
  • Coordinate with the provincial MoPH/BPHS partner and UNICEF ensuring their participation during the trainings.
  • Conduct pre and post training evaluations to assess the knowledge acquisition of each training, analyze and report the synthesis of the exercise to the senior project officer and nutrition advisors.
  • Conduct field visit, provide on-job mentorship/training to address skill gaps. 
  • Regularly monitoring visit to the community for post training follow-up, collecting data on knowledge and skills application, document impact of the training and areas for improvement.
  • Based on field monitoring findings and identified gaps, develop skills improvement strategies and plans.
  • Support development/translation of training curriculum and IEC materials as per the project requirement. During field visits, assess effectiveness of IEC materials and recommend necessary amendments.
  • Prepare training records and reports on each and every training activities conducted.
  • Provide inputs in the monthly reports for internal and external sharing.

Job Requirements

Qualification & Experience  

  • Medical diploma, doctor, midwife, nutritionist.
  • A nutrition ToT certificate 
  • At least 2 years of experience implementing integrated management of acute malnutrition and MIYCN.
  • At least 1 year experience designing and conducting nutrition training.
