Islamic Relief Worldwide – Afghanistan Country Office (IRW) is an international non-profitable non-governmental humanitarian relief organization with its headquarter in UK-Birmingham. It enjoys consultative status with the Economic and Social Council of the United Nations. It is a signatory to the Code of Conduct for the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Moments and NGOs in Disaster Relief. IRA started its humanitarian activities for Afghan Refugees in Pakistan and Afghan people inside since then; IRA continued assisting in emergency relief, food security, women empowerment, girl education, orphan sponsorship, health, emergency education, shelter, Ramadan, and Qurbani programs.
Job Summary
Under the direct supervision of the Livelihood Assistant, the Market Linkage Trainer undertakes the following roles and responsibilities:
Duties & Responsibilities
Education:
Bachelor’s in economics, business administration, commerce, and/or related fields
Experience and Skills Required:
Bachelor’s degree with at least 2 years of relevant experience.
Proven experience in conducting market need assessments, feasibility studies, and analysis of agriculture and livelihood-related options/activities.
Knowledge of developing business plans and marketing strategies for farmers groups.
Strong knowledge and understanding sub-national institutional contexts of Afghanistan.
Experience in working with local government or NGOs on agriculture/livelihood-related activities in remote areas of Afghanistan.
Language Requirement:
Fluency in Pashto, Dari, and English
Computer Skills:
Good working knowledge of computer applications ( MS Office, outlook, internet etc. )
