Job Description

The Duties and responsibilities may include but not limited to:

  • Regularly checking the WCUK electrical system of the buildings inside and outside, including the electrical system of the guest house, warehouses.
  • Will be responsible for Generators basic checks such as checking hours of usage, fuel control, turning on and turning off.
  •  To know Diesel Generators systems and maintenance.
  • To do the responsibilities in the area of wiring and installation of new bulbs and maintenance of existing electrical system.
  • To check the plumbing system of the current WCUK infrastructure in Herat office, Guest Houses and Warehouses.
  • To extend/cut pipelines of the washroom/toilets and kitchens in all buildings.
  • To do maintenance of the ACs.
  • To do ACs cleaning, gas filing, and other measures which enable the AC to work.
  • To work as maintenance worker and carry about 25 Kgs weight required.
  • During free hours to help/support the team members on different office tasks.
  • Perform other related duties as required.
  • Contribute to creating a culture committed to the safeguarding of children and adults and compliant to War Child’s Child Safeguarding and Adults at Risk Policies.

Job Requirements

  • To have work experience of 1 – 2 years as maintenance worker in NGOs, or Private firms.
  • Excellent local communication and facilitation skills (oral and written).
  • If holder of high school degree, preference will be given.
