About ORDR Organization

Organization of Rural Development & Rehabilitation (ORDR) is a Non-Governmental, Non-Profit and Non-Political Organization registered with the Ministry of Economy (MoEc) under license number. (3958). It promotes and provides development and humanitarian related services to the people of Afghanistan. Since its inception in 1995, ORDR has provided assistance in a myriad of sectors to the most poverty-stricken communities across Afghanistan. Too often; services fail to reach poor people, in access, quantity and in quality. Realizing this, ORDR’s primary goal is to improve service provision by making it people-centric. ORDR is highly sensitive to communal and individual differences; and ORDR strives to pay the outmost respect to the communities it aims to serve. ORDR has been setting the building blocks and formulating and implementing development projects that tackle deep-rooted socio-economic, institutional, and other structural causes that underlie immediate symptoms of conflict at the local levels. Transparency, accountability and efficiency are the driving factors when delivering services and goods to the people of Afghanistan.

ORDR is active in the field of Education, ES/NFIs, Humanitarian Response, WASH and Food Security and works closely with UN agencies, INGOs, Governmental and Non-governmental organization.

Job Description

Job Location:      Faryab / Herat / Samangan / Sar-i-Pul




Description: 1) Community Mobilization and Organization

  • Facilitate opening and introduction meetings with target communities, with IDPs, returnees and CDC women members
  • Introduce the PACo, project and planned activities to participating communities women and girls.
  • Facilitate Identification and selection of project beneficiaries as per set criteria in consultation with relevant participating community, CDC and or leader.
  • Mobilize the communities and Identified beneficiaries for better and quality activity implementation.
  • Facilitate and organize the participating communities (CDCs) and identified beneficiaries for response and relevant action.
  • Mobilize women and girls to have their vice in community decision making through have proactive representation and participation.
  • Regular visits, monitor and follow up the skill/vocational trainings centres, literacy class and community related trainings.
  • Keep and maintain the beneficiary contact detail and record for each planned and implemented activities
  • Attend monthly planning meeting and able to extract monthly plan for overall planning.
  • Report the management / line management in regular (weekly) bases.


2) Community Building capacity

  • Regular awareness raising on the project objectives, planned activities and related progress.
  • Assist on organizing / facilitating capacity building training, orientation, workshop and gathering as per program / project plan.
  • Provide regular orientation to communities and participants about project.
  • Facilitated the community review and reflection process and social audit with women and girl at participating communities

3) Strengthen women and girls participation in existing and newly establish community structures or networks as a means for sustainability and engagement

  • Facilitated the discussion with participating community women and girls for the inclusion and representation in existing community based structure/s and or establishing new community network through consultation, coordination, mobilization and organization.
  • Facilitated and conduct project planned capacity building training to community women leaders/ representative
  • Follow and facilitate CBOs and networks women meeting regularly.
  • Ensure the record of meeting and other document properly maintained with CBO

4) Coordination with stakeholder.

  • Facilitate the process of meeting and coordination of women participants with other aid agencies planned to support in consultation project coordinator/ officer
  • Facilitate the CBOs and networks, coordination and linkage in between and with stakeholder.

5) Implement, Monitor and evaluate the project implementation

  • Implement the planned activities project based on project approved activity plan.
  • Visit the project site, beneficiaries and relevant networks, / CDCs on regular basis
  • Implement female participants related project activity
  • Support and assist male social worker on implementing male related activities.
  • Regularly monitor the process and progress of implementation.
  • Ensure the implementation of the program (including project) is according to planned activities.
  • Ensure the right people as per criteria is selected as project and activity participants
  • Ensure the receipt of inputs to the female project participants as per planned list

 6) Plan and Report:

  • Develop monthly and weekly plans in coordination with Project Officer/Coordinator , male Social Organizer and project team member based on project implementation plan.
  • Attend the monthly planning meeting and coordinate with other team member
  • Prepare and submit weekly and monthly progress report to the Project Officer.

7) Other

  • Carry out any other work and activities assigned by the management
  • This JD is subject to change based on project social mobilization and implementation need.

 


 



 


 


 


 

Job Requirements

  • Graduate, degree from recognized University, preference in social sciences, and other field will be preferred.
  • Performed to have male Mahram couple (for female Social organizer)
  • At least Five years’ experience in same field and subject preferably with NGOs.
  • Familiar with Dari, Pasto, local languages are preferred
  • Willing to commit to the vision and mission of PACo.
  • Prepared to work hard and long when needed to achieve deadlines, targets and quality standards set by the project.
  • Committed to be accountable and transparent to community, line management and as whole to organization.
  • Good interpersonal skills, flexible, patient and able to mentor others.
