Job Description

The purpose of the ICLA Assistant position is to implement ICLA activities in the field. The Assistant is responsible for ensuring that all ICLA activities comply with the NRC Code of Conduct, national law, donor requirements, and ICLA’s overall objective to ensure that people affected by displacement can access their right to a durable solution.

Job Requirements

Generic responsibilities

  • Adhere to NRC policies, tools, handbooks, and guidelines 
  • Assist with the implementation of the support function portfolio according to the plan of action 
  • Prepare and develop status reports as required by management 
  • Ensure proper filing of documents  
  • Promote and share ideas for improvement of the support function 
  • Development of holistic and needs-based programs, including cash-based interventions and marked-based programs

 

Specific responsibilities:

  • Provide Basic information on HLP, LCD, and ES to new returnees in Spin Boldak zero point in accordance with the ICLA strategy, project documents, and applicable laws and procedures.
  • Enter all activity information into ICLA electronic database and maintain hard copies of all means of verification documents.
  • Provide individual counseling services on HLP, LCD, ES, and ELP to beneficiaries per ICLA standards and report outcomes, challenges, and progress to a direct line of supervision.
  • Collaborating with ICLA Officer in uploading the Methods of Verifications to the monitoring and evaluation tracker on a regular basis.
  • Preparing and presenting the weekly and monthly progress report to the ICLA Officer on a timely manner.

 

Generic professional competencies:

  • Graduated from 12th class /Teacher Training Colleague. University degree from Law/Sharia Law is an advantage.
  • One to two years relevant experience with international NGOs, local NGOs (International donors implementers) in humanitarian context.
  • Knowledge and relevant experience in humanitarian recovery context.
  • Documented technical competences related to the position’s responsibilities
  • Able to communicate on local languages (Pashto and Dari) and understand English language on basic level.
