About Union Aid

Union Aid is a non-governmental organization, registered under Societies Act 1860 in 2012. Union Aid was established by Dr. Toryalay Nassery and initiated its activities in the health sector after its establishment in 1979 which formally commenced in 1980 with prior permission from the Ministry of SAFRON, Government of Pakistan.

Union Aid is actively providing health care services, education, scholarships, vocational training, and family support programs.

Job Description

The HR is responsible is to fulfill the recruitment process, maintain personnel file, provide guidance and making sure the organization complies with labor laws and enforcing organization policies and practices.

Responsibilities:

  • Align all activities of HR in accordance to applicable HR policies of Union Aid,
  • Recruit, interview, hire, and orient the newly employed staff, 
  • Provides constructive and timely performance evaluations within the probationary period and at the end of the year, 
  • Handles discipline and termination of employees in accordance with Union Aid policy,
  • Ensure the organizations human resource policies to be practiced on recruiting, retention, and planning, 
  • Provides support and guidance of HR to the management and other staff, providing investigating report as a proof in case of terminations, 
  • Manages the recruitment, interviewing and hiring of qualified job applicants, collaborates with management, 
  • Oversees employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations, 
  • Maintains compliance with government policies & employment laws and regulations to ensure Union Aid practices aligned with Government policies,
  • Maintain management guidelines by preparing, updating, and recommending human resource policies and procedures, 
  • Identify and recommend areas of improvement to internal standard operating procedures, including team restructuring and morale, 
  • Maintain staff personnel files according to personnel file checklist,
  • Preparation of monthly attendance report and share with main office for review and approval,
  • Preparation of monthly payroll and share with main office for review and approval,
  • Maintaining soft leave record updated and leave requests in update file,
  • Maintaining travel and mission report in update file,
  • To perform any other tasks assigned by line manager.
 

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, human resource,
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience with local NGOs or International NGOs,
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and local languages,
  • Ability to establish and nurture beneficial organizational relationships,
  • Self-motivated with a willingness to take initiative and solve complex problems,
  • Capability to negotiate with and influence others,
  • Analytically and mathematically minded to analyze data and create necessary reports.
