About Afghan Family Guidance Association |AFGA

Afghan Family Guidance Association (AFGA) is an Afghan non-governmental, not-for-profit and non-political organization established in 1968. AFGA has been working in the field of Reproductive health and Rights since its inception and has recently become an associate member of the International Planned Parenthood Federation (IPPF).

AFGA activities were suspended due to war and conflict in the country for ten years (1992-2002) and resumed its activities in 2002 with financial support from International Planned Parenthood Federation (IPPF).

IPPF is an alliance of 151 family planning associations known as Member Associations which has projects in over 180 countries. IPPF continues to be the largest civil society provider of reproductive health information and services in the world.

Job Description

  • The HR intern will assist the HR Assistant for proper filling of all project relevant staff personal file
  • Completion of pending personal files documents
  • Assist HR Department for providing complete personal to the internal and external auditors
  • Assist HR department in data entry and databases with new employee data including contact details and employment forms in the Human Resource Management Information System
  • Assist HR department in updating day to day leave database and tracking leave records
  • Capable to work under tight deadline 
  • Responsible for collecting leave forms and absence record
  • Responsible for responding phone calls inquiries from candidates and also inviting them to written test and interviews
  • Assist in screening forms and resumes for new candidates and applicants
  • Manage job advertisements on job portals and social networks
  • Assist and to ensure all departments are made aware of new employee policies
  • Facilitate accurate and timely communication with applicants
  • Create and maintain filing systems
  • Carry out printing, photocopying, collating and scanning documents
  • Translate documents into local languages
  • Type documents in English and local languages
  • Take notes and memos during meetings
  • Attend AFGA functions and networking events

 

Job Requirements

  • At least university student or fresh graduate;
  • Preferably working in HR field and willingness for gaining experience in relevant HR field
  • Good computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)
  • Must be available for full time job
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in local languages
  • Self-directed and able to work
  • Ability to manage and handle multiple tasks
  • Ability to work independently
  • Willingness for learning
