Job Description

ROLE PURPOSE: : As part of the MHT, the overall purpose of this position is to manage pharmaceutical storage, prescribed distribution and reporting in Sar-e- Pul. Key Accountabilities Technical 1. Manage mobile warehousing of the pharmaceuticals as per SCI requirements and SOPs 2. Manage supply of pharmaceutical and medical consumable for MHNTs base on the supply request 3. Collect monthly consumption reports and share with inventory team at provincial level 4. Strictly follow FIFO and FEFO procedures 5. Regularly check stock cards of the MHTs and work with the Project assistant to prevent stock-out 6. Identify and report immediately any medical or administrative problems that may create issues for the project 7. Collect and document any adverse effects of the prescribed medicines to project beneficiaries 8. Perform any other task relevant to the scope of work as assigned by the line manager 9. Report any Child Safeguarding and/or sexual exploitation cases once encountered. KEY AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY: Implementation 10. Lead field level implementation of Mobile Health and Nutrition Teams 11. Coordinate Mobile Health & Nutrition Teams (INMNT) activities with relevant Government Directorates, Basic Package of Heath Service (BPHS) NGOs 12. Conduct training need assessment, prepare and deliver trainings outlined on TNA for the Mobile health and nutrition team staff 13. Coordinate project training plan with BPHS and Provincial public health directorate. 14. Ensure proper pharmacy management of INMNTs including consumption, supplies, stocks, rational use of drug15. Collect HMIS data from INMNTs, analyse and submit to Project coordinator and PPHD/MoPH on timely bases 16. Entry of SAM/ MAM monthly statistical report in MoPH nutrition online database 17. Follow up of referred cases by IMHNTs with hospital to ensure that they have proper secondary medical care 18. Identify and report immediately any medical or administrative problems that may interfere in achieving programme objectives 19. Organize community awareness raising campaigns on health seeking behaviour issues in close collaboration with community elders, health Shuras and BPHS NGO staff 20. Meet regularly with beneficiary communities and leaders, to ensure project effectiveness and community involvement in decision making on INMNT services 21. Provide joint supportive supervision to project sites, on the job training to IMHNT staff and undertake regular supportive supervision of the project activities at SDP level 22. Perform any other task relevant to the scope of work as assigned by the line manager 23. Ensure training for all Health and nutrition promoter 24. Compile and generate the training reports conducted in provinces. 25. Work closely with the Save the children program teams, including other sectors, to develop applicable materials on child rights, child protection, participation, health education, environmental protection etc. Child Safeguarding • Ensure that all beneficiaries of your program are receiving ongoing, age-appropriate verbal or written information in relevant languages about Save the Children’s Child Safeguarding Policy and Code of Conduct. Report any Child Safeguard and/or PSEA cases if encountered. Job Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS  Medical Degree (MD) EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS Essential  Graduated from recognized medical faculty with two years of experience in health and nutrition project management.  Medical Diploma (MD) with previous experience of working in the Health and Nutrition projects at least for 2 years  Familiarity with HMIS/Nutrition online databases of MoPH will be an asset  Good knowledge and experience of Project Management skill including basic administration and management.  Good knowledge and experience of Health and nutrition training delivery.  A thorough understanding of project cycle management, especially M&E processes, and reporting -  Excellent reputation/well-known Desirable  Efficiency, result-oriented and excellent management and training capabilities -  Capacity to perform effectively under pressure and harsh conditions; ability to handle confidential and politically sensitive issues in a responsible and mature manner -  Excellent capacity development and teamwork skills; cross-cultural and gender sensitivity –  Ability to under take frequent field visit to the project site and provide on the job coaching to the field team.
