Job Description

New way Social & Development Organization is a development, advocacy, and humanitarian organization established in 2011 and registered with the Ministry of Economy, Government of Afghanistan. Organization is based in Kabul, with programming hubs across the north and northeastern provinces of the country. Organization strives to empower the vulnerable and marginalized communities suffering from the impacts of war, natural calamities, poverty, and injustice. Additionally, Organization is also working on the idea of integrated development, which encompasses socio-economic, cultural and good governance. Community Empowerment is the core to Organization’s strategy to engage with grass-root groups and communities to address the root causes of poverty, inequalities and injustice.

 

Job Description:

  • Maintain records and receipts for all daily transactions.
  • Ensure financial records are kept up to date with the latest transactions and changes.
  • Follow up with the procurement unit to make sure that the project budgets are properly allocated/ contracted to lead to faster payments to suppliers by also assuring compliance and control requirements.
  • Ensure that contracting/procurement, as well as expenditures and transactions, are made in compliance with laws, regulations and procedures, the Private sector policies and procedures.
  • Providing critical review and monitoring of any financial reports, considering budget lines, expense eligibility criteria and valid support documents.
  • Preparing the expense voucher for the disbursements and bank reconciliation of the Organization with the Bank books
  • Assist in financial audits.
  • Ensuring that new policies or procedures introduced by the finance department are properly applied within the scope of your responsibility.
  • Prepare vouchers for all invoices and payment documents
  • To process and track all payments of the project.
  • To file all financial documents and label the files as advised by the system.
  • He should clear all the project hard and soft documents monthly.
  • He will be responsible for completing any other task, which is assigned by the related supervisor.
  • Any other tasks being assigned by the Finance Manager.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's/Master's degree in Business Administration or related field.
  • Enjoying 2 to 3 years of relevant working experience
  • Best oral and written communication skills in local languages and English if possible
  • Having full knowledge of cultural and religious sensitivities and values
  • Compliance and adherence to all the organizational rules and regulations including anti-harassment policy
  • Be morally and disciplinary fit for the job.
  • Having good knowledge and skills in computer particularly MS Word and MS PowerPoint
  • Be able to work under pressure
