Job Description

About Union Aid:

Union Aid established in 1979 working for Afghan refugees in Pakistan and people in Afghanistan in different sectors such as health, education, livelihood, emergency relief, basic infrastructure with the support of UNHCR, WHO, WFP, AFV, GIZ, MI and several other donors.

Currently, Union Aid is implements various projects in health, livelihood, education, and rehabilitation of basic infrastructures, repatriation of IDPs, and emergency relief projects in different provinces of Afghanistan.

Union is is seeking to hire female medical doctors with outstanding medical knowledge and excellent counseling skills. The doctor is expected to be compassionate, have attentive listening skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with a genuine concern for patients and a passion to be of service and heal people.

Job Requirements

Responsibilities:

  • OPD consultation and diagnosis and treatment of patients
  • Refer severe and complicated cases
  • Conduct health education sessions
  • Supervise all the health & administrative activities of the BHU
  • Ensure all equipment in good condition and all inventories are properly listed and physically present
  • Provide on job mentoring to health staff inside BHCs
  • Hold weekly staff meeting to review progress against activities agreed
  • Maintain good communication and coordination between health facility, local authorities and community health committee
  • Develop a good liaison with staff members and ensure to work in close coordination with Health Coordinator
  • Proficient in dealing with emergency cases
  • Familiarity with and usage of drugs from the basic drugs list and rational prescribing.
  • Prepare and submit regular monthly, quarterly, interim and final reports
  • Perform any task assign by Health Coordinator/Executive Director

  • Graduate from a reputable medical university
  • Three years practical working knowledge in BHC, CHC or DH
  • Strong project management skill at community level
  • Strong written and fluent verbal communication skills in Pashto, Dari and English
  • Strong Communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office program.
  • Team work spirit, disciplined, hard worker and capability to respond challenging conditions.
  • Being flexible regarding working hours.
  • Received Training  in BPHS Program
  • Having skill of management, report writing and training
  • Willingness to travel to the site areas.
