Job Description

  • Oversee the pilot launch of virtual support to CBE/ALP teachers across two targeted provinces (Kunduz and Bamyan, reaching 100 target teachers in the targeted provinces to build their professional development capacity.
  • Oversee and support the development of tools/forms for teacher need assessment, teacher baseline and endline knowledge assessment and User understanding.
  • Orients/train the staff of local partner on how to conduct the Teacher Need Assessment and submit report to IRC.
  • Overseeing/observing and supporting local partner with conducting teacher need assessment, data analysis and report submission to IRC.
  • Lead and support contents development for IVRs/SMSs in English and share with Airbel Ed GRIP team to review and provide feedback.
  • Lead and support the education team to translate contents to Dari and Pashto
  • Follow up and support Airbel team in Chatbot development, testing and chatbot flow management.
  • Support Airbel team to training the respective staff of IRC education team and local partner team on Chatbot usage.  
  • Facilitate/support the process of signing MoU with MoE to support us in smoothly implementation of the project interventions.
  • Conducting regular field visits to oversee and track implementation progress and provide necessary constructive feedback to the partner.
  • Support the project to ensure that pilot testing feedback is incorporated in a timely fashion to make improvements in the Chatbot and messaging system.
  • Review and crosscheck the monitoring reports with partner and IRC field staff to ensure quality implementation.
  • Support the development of a final project report, in coordination with Airbel.
  • Review the budget regularly and do the re-alignment whenever necessary to follow up and inform the respective staff.
  • Work with Supply Chain to identify and oversee procurement of any budgeted supplies/items.
  • Closely work with Supply Chain and grant teams to identify potential Telecom and sign contract with to disseminate IVRs/SMSs through the platform.  
  • Work with IM team to develop any necessary assessment tools for monitoring and feedback on the piloting and ensue quality data management.  
  • Oversee and monitor the teacher training on how to use Chatbot and provide necessary feedback/support.  
  • Work with IM team to develop tools for project final evaluation support orienting partner staff on how to conduct the final project assessment/evaluation.
  • Follow up with partner to develop and share the report of project final assessment/evaluation with IRC education program for scale up planning and project designing

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, master’s degree is preferable.  
  • 2-3 years experience with Education Technology, Information Technology, Learning Apps
  • Experience with Chatbot development, or SMS/IVR messaging systems or remote support mechanisms using mobile phones for teachers, learners.
  • Experience with community-based education and education formal system support
  • Experiences in contents development, tools development and training delivery   
  • Understanding of local context and locations in targeted provinces (Kunduz and Bamyan)
  • Excellent communication and coordination skills  
  • Excellent communication skills in Pashto, Dari and English.
  • Wiling to travel and conduct field visits regularly.
