About Future Generations Afghanistan

Future Generations (FG) is the collective name for an international network of non-governmental organizations including FG Country Programs in Asia and Africa, Future Generations University (FGU) and its alumni in 17 countries, academia, and individual’s experts. The original charitable organization, Future Generations, was established in 1992 for the purpose of learning from, and building upon the world’s most successful examples of community empowerment and social change. It is complemented by the Future Generations Graduate School (Future Generations University) in 2006 in the State of West Virginia with authorization to provide a Master's Degree in Applied Community Change focus on Conservation and Peace building.  The Future Generations Afghanistan (FGA) established in May 2002 and obtained its registration certificate from Ministry of Economy, Government of Afghanistan in October 2005.  Since 2007, FGA has been operational in Eastern Afghanistan, and successfully completed development and humanitarian programs in Nangarhar, Laghman , Kunar,Nuristan,Logar, Herat and Bamyan Provinces.

Job Description

Responsible for data collection, distribution, and other related activities. His/her major responsibility will be to: assist in preparing the project plans, implementing the plans, Data collecting, controlling the progress of the project activities of data collection, distribution and sharing reports with M&E and project manager. In addition, these staff will assist the team with distribution of the commodities, cross-checking of the tokens and accuracy of the right-holder documents before and after the distribution

Job Requirements

  • Follow sampling instructions provided by the evaluation and survey team
  • Conduct interviews with implementing partners and government stakeholders.
  • Conduct in–depth interview, focus group discussion and household level survey
  • Conduct a visual assessment of the assessment areas.
  • Sharing of the collected data and information to the project manager or team leader
  • Take part in meeting and discussions with clients include the in-brief, midterm and out-brief
  • Assisting the project manager in planning for the survey of affected categories and distribution of assistance.
  • Review and re check of the data and information in the ground in case of need
  • Ensure surveying equipment is in good working order by conducting regular maintenance works.
  • Controlling and organizing of session conducting for the distribution of assistance
  • Regular participation in coordination meetings and staffs meeting held at provincial or district level

Qualification: 

  • Experience of conducting interviews, focus group discussion and household survey
  • Adherence to professional ethics in conducting surveys.
  • Excellent spoken and written communication skills; Pashto and Dari languages essential, English is credited.
  • Ability to work closely in team environment
  • Ability and willingness to travel to the project sites
  • Honest, proactive and well mannered
