About Marie Stopes International Afghanistan

Marie Stopes International Afghanistan (MSIA) was established after registration with government of Afghanistan in August 2002. MSIA follows the mission statement of MSI, which is Improve Afghan women’s health and wellbeing so that they can in turn build strong and healthy families.. Our focus is to contribute in reducing maternal mortality ratio, providing quality and sustainable MCH/RH and family planning services and information across all provinces of Afghanistan in coordination with Ministry of Public Health, Afghanistan.

MSIA is currently operating in 14 provinces of Afghanistan namely, Kabul, Balkh, Herat, Jawzjan Faryab, Nengarhar, Baghlan, Kunduz, Badakhshan, Takhar, Samangan, Helmand, kandahar and Kapisa.

MSIA delivers MCH/RH and family planning services through various channels such that centres, outreaches, social marketing and MS Ladies. With the Power of Ten strategy, MSI focuses on strategic and technical leadership in producing, interpreting and using high quality evidence to fulfill its mission. Job Description

  • Implementation of strategies to reach CSM monthly set targets.
  • CSM product’s stock management: inventory & reporting
  • On time stock supply to all vendors as reported by Call Center
  • Managing & using promotional materials for product marketing as per the guideline.
  • Following & updating customer database (weekly/monthly)
  • Coordinate orders through Call Center & avoid receiving orders directly.
  • Maintaining detailed and accurate sales records and compiling weekly & monthly sales & stock reports to CSM Supervisor.
  • Maintaining proper filing system (Sales, report, GRNs, Transfer receipts, product stock cards…etc.)
  • Being accountable for cash/income deposits to the bank or finance department based on supervisor guidance.
  • Conducting periodic market surveys to assess product availability and affordability as well as reporting the status of competitors in the market & their prices.
  • Be able to communicate properly with best marketing approaches to encourage pharmacies, hospitals, laboratories & private clinics for using ARAMISH products.
  • Accurate accounting and transparency on accounting systems which includes providing sell receipts to vendors (complete as on the receipt), checking money validation, securing cash during delivery & filing transaction receipts
  • All accounts and cash transfers should be transparent on time to the bank or related channel as led.
  • Complying with all MSI-A rules and regulations
  • Prepare & follow market plan for daily survey, marketing and sells.
  • Being responsible to expand sales to neighbouring provinces if required.

Measure

  • Reaching monthly sales targets

  • Depositing weekly sales income to the bank

  • Monthly, weekly & daily reporting
 

Job Requirements

  • Diploma/Degree in Pharmacy or Business Administration. At least graduated from High School.  
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience, particularly in the field of selling medicine and medical products
  • Demonstrated experience in leading social marketing activities with strong customer focus, understanding of social marketing principles and context in Afghanistan.
  • Ability to coordinate complex projects with multiple deadlines and budgets.
  • Proven ability to lead and support project teams and work effectively with multiple stakeholders
  • Sensitivity to women’s health issues and awareness of social needs in Afghanistan (or similar context).
