Job Description

JOB SUMMARY
The Crowd Controller will be responsible to keep constant watch of the crowd during distribution of food and cash in the target communities for Unconditional Seasonal Support Project to prevent and react quickly to incidents. The incumbent is expected to control the entry to the distribution point, monitor the behavior of the crowd, handle aggressive behavior and conduct emergency evacuations.

II. MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Ensure people do not cross to areas they are not allowed to access, monitoring the crowd's behavior and responding to suspicious and violent behavior
• Ensure public safety and security through Making lines of the people/beneficiaries and safeguard proper order
• Separate male beneficiaries from female beneficiaries
• Identify security threats during the distribution, inspections, and perform the necessary actions to minimize or neutralize the threat.
• Prioritize elderlies, women and children when making lines
• Maintain good and clear communication with the audiences
• Be patient when dealing/talking with people
• Fulfill any other task assigned by supervisor
III. QUALIFICATIONS: (Minimum Requirements)
A. EDUCATION:
At least High School (12th class) graduate, university degree is preferable
B. WORK EXPERIENCE:
At least two years’ experience in emergency response programs and related fields.
Previous work experience with WFP projects will be a bonus for the candidate.
C. SKILLS:
• Control crowd
• Manage emergency evacuation plans
• Ensure health and safety of project beneficiaries and visitors
• look out for suspicious behavior
• Liaise with security authorities
• Handle conflicts
• Manage theft prevention
• Good communication skills
D. Languages:
• Fluent in Speaking and writing of national languages.
E. GENERAL:
Good level of communication skills, conflict resolution and decision making capacities. The position will be required to travel to all project areas and willingness to work in emergency situations under difficult life conditions.
