HIV Project Background:
Youth Health and Development Organization (YHDO) is an Afghanistan nongovernmental organization that promotes health, and advocate for the right of young people in the country. YHDO is implementing the HIV NFM project entitled “Scaling up HIV interventions among Key Affected Populations from 2017 in Afghanistan.
In structure of Package C, the HIV project will implement in Herat, Kandahar and Ghazni provinces from 2021 to 2023. YHDO providing the HIV preventive and curative services through DICs and outreach teams for HIV high-risk population to control the HIV transmission.
Main Responsibilities:
1. Screening: The officer will screen all the clients and staff who enter to the DIC.
2. Registration: the screening officer is responsible for registration of all screened client
3. Referral of suspected clients to COVID medical doctor or Hospital
4. Health education for prevention of covid 19
5- The officer will guide the clients for hand washing place before enter to OPD.
6. The officer will be equipped with PPE kits, facemask, gloves and anti-septic and
check the client’s temperature through digital thermometer.
7. The COVID screening officer should follow the YHDO policies, rules and regulation.
8. Perform other related activities assigned by his line manager
