Job Description

  • Implementing Shoura trainings in community level and providing coaching and mentoring to teachers & Student and encourage student family to send the child to school, especially Female. and awareness raising on the importance and right to education for every child, especially for children with disability and girls.
  • arrange meetings and appointments with regard to CBE Class and other beneficiary groups in the area.
  • Resolves any dispute related to projects interventions;
  • Understand the importance of sustainability and promote its concept among the beneficiaries through dissemination, mobilization and active participation of community in the project interventions.
  • Facilitate the work of the project staff through dissemination of the project objectives, and provide inputs.
  • Identify, facilitate and select beneficiary according to project’s selection criteria.
  • Help District coordinator and technical staff in community awareness raising regarding the importance of Education to male and female.
  • Coordinate with the village communities and the authorities.
  • Train community leaders in recording Education program between the project staff and among themselves, record keeping, capacity building, other organizational aspects and community development.
  • Report monthly progress to the District Coordinator according to the format requested by OCCD.
  • Identify cultural sensitivities and inform other colleagues on the relevant issues.
  • Collect relevant information/data in collaboration education and other stakeholders.
  • Assist field office team in project operations data analysis and interpretation including report preparation
  • Maintain a good relationship with the other members of the team including performing any other tasks/duties as required.
  • Any other relevant task given by Supervisor.

Accountability:

Ensure that you work to the best of your ability and demonstrate high levels of commitment to OCCD in order to ensure the objectives of your role and the program are met.

Job Requirements

  • Couples are preferable.
  • At least 3 years’ experience in education, preferably in an NGO environment or educational setting
  • Bachelor’s degree in education, development, or another social science
  • An understanding of formal and non-formal education
  • Understanding of government institutions, particularly the public school and CBE Policy
  • Excellent planning and coordination skills, with the ability to organize a substantial workload comprised of complex, diverse tasks and responsibilities;
  • Understanding of child rights programming.
  • Good communication skills with fluency in written and spoken English, Pashto, and Dari
  • Ability to analyze information, evaluate options, and to plan strategically
  • Ability and willingness to change work practices and hours, and work with incoming teams in the event of major emergencies.

Note:- There is a three months of probationary period for all staff, Incase the employee fails to fulfill the requirements or completion of given tasks during this period OCCD can end his/her contract immediately.
