Job Description

The overall purpose of the role:

The cleaner will swiftly clean the overall office compound along with its fixed assets. He/She will also support in cooking DRC Helmand Staff for lunch.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Cleaning and washing of all the office premises surroundings on daily basis.
  • Cleaning of all furniture and fixtures using special materials.
  • Provide cleaning supplies to all the washrooms and bathrooms.
  • Responsible for cleaning and washing with liquids all the washrooms and bathrooms.
  • Clean departments’ rooms using electric broom device.
  • Collect all the garbage and remove from the compound to the nearest garbage area.
  • Ensure food utilities (tea, coffee, milk) are available in the stock. Report to admin in case anything lacking.
  • Safeguarding the office equipment’s.
  • Ensure the hygiene of overall compound
  • Make sure mosquitos sprays are sprayed on need basis in the compound.
  • Procure groceries for kitchen on daily basis
  • Cook different varieties of foods for national staff based on menu
  • Provide meal to all staff based on schedule.
  • Provide evening meals for international staff and guards.
  • Ensure availability of food materials stocks in the kitchens.
  • Be in charge of kitchens equipment’s and inventory and responsible for the inventory usage.
  • Ensure proper hygiene in cooking. Use necessary supplies while cooking.
  • Responsible for dish washings of the kitchen.
  • Ensuring office kitchens are well clean and equipped.
  • Ensure tea thermoses are well filled from water.
  • Any other tasks assigned by the direct supervisor.

Job Requirements

ABOUT YOU

To be successful in this role you must have:

Experience and technical competencies: 

3 or more years of experience with NGOs

Education/qualifications:

High school graduation

Languages:

Pashto, Dari, and Basic English
