Bank-e- Millie Afghan (BMA) was the first financial institution established in Afghanistan in 1933. Similarly, it was the first financial institution established in a public private partnership set up with 72 percent share held by private sector. As a first bank in Afghanistan, BMA introduced formal banking services to the people and government of Islamic Republic of Afghanistan. Job Description

To review periodic financial statements and financial analysis and authorize them for issue.
To review all the relevant reports generated by CBS and present monthly reports to Board of Supervisors and senior management.
To review and authorize periodic reporting to DAB.
To ensure that management policies, strategies and plans are implemented effectively regarding the finance function.
To ensure that no funds of the bank are lying idle and being utilized effectively.
To find the appropriate source of finance and identify suitable financial institutions for fund placements.
To coordinate with other banks in respect of funding requirements of the bank.
To be responsible for Financial Planning & Budgetary Control.
To finalize the ALCO paper and lead the ALCO meetings
Responsible for managing the entire financial operations.
Supervise overall operations of the Finance & Treasury departments of the bank.
Recommend improvements to the system based on input from system analyst
To approve payments to employees, vendors and contractors etc.
To ensure that user friendly, true and fair financial reports are generated and disbursed to the related parties
To provide consultation to the CEO, BoS and Shareholders on financial matters
To authorize the foreign exchange operations, domestic and foreign.

Job Requirements

7 years experience in a relevant professional position in financial institutions:

Experience in budgeting, risk management, asset, and liability management:

Progressive accounting and financial analysis experience;

Experience as a senior financial officer at a financial institution.

Must be able to understanding the general knowledge of Banking.

Knowledge of Afghan financial sector’s legal and regulatory framework.

Strong communication and presentation skills;
