Job Description

Generic responsibilities: Adhere to NRC policies, tools, handbooks, and guidelines. Ensure proper data protection of sensitive information at field level, development and maintenance of databases, filing of documents, etc. Contribute to the development and implementation of NRC’s Camp Management intervention by supporting CM-related protection monitoring (data collection, processing and analysis). Promote and share ideas for technical improvement. Provide inputs on needs and gaps to support operational and strategic initiatives. Specific responsibilities: Conduct the FGDs and key informant surveys with the displaced population in the area to collect data on daily basis. Make sure the collected data has been collected according and uploaded to the kobo system. Assist the field team with community outreach and engagement with local authorities, community representatives and other relevant stakeholders based on project implementation priorities as communicated by management. Assist the field team with implementation and monitoring of the following field activities: protection monitoring and IPA, in addition to service mapping and development of referral pathways. Assist the field team with data collection to inform relevant internal and externally-commissioned protection assessments, risk analysis, needs assessments. Prepare and develop status reports as required by the supervisor, including timely reporting on programmatic and contextual issues. Ensure that projects target beneficiaries most in need, and explore and asses new and better ways to assist.

Job Requirements

Qualifications: University degree (preferably in social sciences, e.g. education, political science, international relations, law, journalism, gender studies and human rights). At least 2-3 years Experience from working in a humanitarian/recovery context, preferably in community services or community engagement and mobilization, protection, community capacity building, or related field. Excellent proficiency in Microsoft package, with advanced expertise in data management software, such as MS EXCEL and MS ACCESS. Proven experience in database management. Good knowledge of digitalized data collection (Kobo, ODK, CommCare, ONA, SurveyMoney). Proficiency in QGIS or other open-source GIS software. Basic knowledge of coding software (e.g. SQL) is an advantage. Fluency in English and local languages either in Pashto or Dari (ideally in both), both oral and written. Political and cultural awareness, as well as good understanding of the displacement context in Afghanistan. Previous experience from working in complex and volatile contexts; Strong inter-personal skills, working well both in teams and independently.We Offer: Monthly Salary based on NRC Afghanistan Salary Scale. Smart Phone with Top up Credit card with internet package on monthly basis. NRC will cover staff plus four (4) depended for medical insurance. One time Eid Bonus per year Leave and Holidays accordingly Afghanistan Labour Law.
