About Organization for Research & Community Development (ORCD )

Organization for Research & Community Development (ORCD) is a Non-governmental, Non-political, Non-profitable and independent organization founded in 2010 by a group of community development and research specialist. The aim of the organization is to contribute to the development of Afghanistan as an integral part of the international community. It envisages accomplishing its aims by building local capacities, generating evidence in various disciplines, promoting evidence-based on best practices and implementing development projects aimed at community development at the grass root level. ORCD is a multi-donor funded NGO, implementing health, agriculture and community development projects in several provinces of the country.
ORCD would like to implement Mobile Health and Nutrition Services (MHNT) Logar province funded by (UNICEF) for which it would like to seek qualified people.

Job Description

  • Collect protection monitoring forms and compile analytical protection monitoring visit reports to be shared with ORCD on regular basis; 
  • Setting up an efficient communication tools/system for the program at the central and provincial levels in line with the donors and governmental guidelines.
  • Research, compile and present basic information for use in the preparation and production of the Program.
  • Assist the Program Director in meeting deadlines (Reports submission, field visits by donors and government Agencies)
  • Will be able to represent the activities in donors and government agencies meetings.
  • To be aware of project activities and keep accessible report for any inspection by government/ or donors.
  • Preparation of fiscal year financial plan in close coordination with relevant, making sure this is achieved and is monitored for quality and quantity purposes.
  • Provides regular and timely feedback on performance to Program manager
  • Holds weekly staff meetings with an agenda and minutes.
  • Informs the Field Coordinator of interference and problems.
  • Participates in weekly coordination meetings.
  • Undertake field visits to all regional Offices and project sites to be aware of project activities.
  • Undertake any task delegated by the Program Director

Job Requirements

  • 3-5 years of relevant experience
  • University degree in business development, economic development or related field
  • Good command of English, Pashto and Dari
