About Organization for Research & Community Development (ORCD )

Organization for Research & Community Development (ORCD) is a Non-governmental, Non-political, Non-profitable and independent organization founded in 2010 by a group of community development and research specialist. The aim of the organization is to contribute to the development of Afghanistan as an integral part of the international community. It envisages accomplishing its aims by building local capacities, generating evidence in various disciplines, promoting evidence-based on best practices and implementing development projects aimed at community development at the grass root level. ORCD is a multi-donor funded NGO, implementing health, agriculture and community development projects in several provinces of the country.
ORCD would like to implement Mobile Health and Nutrition Services (MHNT) Logar province funded by (UNICEF) for which it would like to seek qualified people.

Job Description

The Consultants will collaboratively design, and deliver training on enterprise development, marketing, and basic bookkeeping to 97 entrepreneurs and business owners in two of the following target regions and provinces:

South: Helmand, and Nimruz

Each consultant will train 15 entrepreneurs and business owners, referred to as Trainees hereafter, in their respective provinces

Develop training material and coursework for enterprise development, marketing, and bookkeeping training.
Provide 24-30 hours of in-class training on enterprise development, marketing, and bookkeeping.
Analyze 10-15 enterprises and identify key gaps in management, operations, business model, and marketing and determine areas of growth
Prioritize an area of growth for each enterprise and prepare a list of recommendations
Provided two weeks of consulting, coaching and mentorship to the business owner in implementing the recommendations
Coursework for enterprise development, marketing, and basic bookkeeping
In-class training of about 24-30 hours, with the results documented in a training report
Business capacity assessment report and recommendations for growth
A minimum of two weeks of consulting, mentoring, or coaching of the business evident in an approval letter signed by the beneficiary
Final delivery report
Any other activities of similar nature are requested by ICRA Enterprise Officer and ICRA Project Manager

Job Requirements

Master’s degree in Business Administration, Organizational Development, Marketing, Finance, or equivalent qualifications in accounting
At least five years of experience with a proven track record in business training and consulting
Having all the required equipment, licenses, or tools to deliver the contract. NCA will not provide any equipment or tools for this task, except for the training venues and other training-related expenses
Experience in working with aid & development agencies
Excellent English language skills and experience in teaching business subjects
Ability to deliver results and meet short deadlines
The Consultant should be based in one of ICRA’s target provinces or be willing to travel and stay in those locations at their own cost
