Job Description

Position Description:

Conducts beneficiary selection according to the beneficiary selection criteria, collect demographic data according to the food security program’s needs, actively select, arrange, participate and provides facilitation in the food distribution points and processes, ensure quality of food items and maintain internal and external coordination according to the needs of the food security program.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct food security assessment and beneficiary selection according to the beneficiary selection criteria.
  • Collect demographic data according to the food security program’s needs.
  • Actively engage in selecting, arranging, and facilitating food distribution processes.
  • Ensure quality of food items and maintain internal and external coordination according to the needs of the food security program.
  • Conduct assessment and identify protection threats around the delivery and distribution locations.
  • Ensure that beneficiaries understand how to prepare the food provided.
  • Ensure that families are able to safely store the distributed food items.
  • Ensure that the distributed food meets the nutritional needs of the target beneficiaries.
  • Ensure that the quality of food packages is same across the entire target population.
  • Identify new food needs through committees, elders or women groups.
  • Organize and facilitate food distribution process.
  • Plan day to day assessment, beneficiary selection, delivery, distribution and other necessary issues according to the food security interventions.
  • Facilitate and participate food distribution process.
  • Identify logistical and financial issues (distance/transportation/cost) related to the distribution of food packages.
  • Develop do-no-harm methodologies and techniques for assisting food package distribution process.
  • Facilitate the process of organizing food packages and its distribution for the target beneficiaries.
  • Inspect and ensure the quality of food items and its proper packaging.
  • Compile reports, document and record Information in soft and hard as necessary.
  • The Agronomist must strictly follow the organization's existing security policies, procedures, and daily instructions of the safety personnel.
  • Any other tasks giving by the supervisor.

Job Requirements

Education/ Qualification and Employment Benefits                                               

Education: Bachelor Degree in Agriculture is required.

Experience: Five (5) Years of Experience in related field especially FFS Saffron , kitchen gardening,  integrated farming, cultivation, greenhouse management and orchard establishment and management is required.

Other qualifications’ an advantage:

Ability in team working, Good Interpersonal Skills, Good Organizational Skills and good FFS facilitation skills.

Languages: Pashto, Dari and English.
