Interventions aim to increase demand, access and quality of health services. Lead by Jhpiego and implemented by a dynamic consortium of organizations, UHI is implemented in five cities in Afghanistan – Kabul, Herat, Mazar-e-Sharif, Jalalabad and Kandahar.

Job Description

Summary Scope of Work:
The Administration Associate is responsible to provide administrative support for
main office and Kabul Cluster offices within Urban Health Initiative (UHI) project
in Jhpiego city level office.
Duration of the Assignment:
The anticipated duration of the assignment is going to be 12 months with a
possibility of extension. However, the duration of the assignment depends upon
various factors including and not limited to the staff performance, availability of
funding, donor requirements and need of the project/organization.
Responsibilities:
Essential Job Function
 Provides administrative/office support to the Jhpiego/UHI main office
and cluster offices.
 Oversee timely daily/general cleaning of the office and
furniture/office equipment maintenance, etc.
 Routing PRF for main office and clusters needs.
 Assist monthly food menu for office staff and share it with
procurement officer for further process.
 Providing and supplying monthly cooking gas, stationery, water
and cleaning supply for all clusters.
 Under take daily quality and quantity check of food stuff.
 Ensures proper usage and prompt replacement of kitchen and office
supplies and p u t request on time for stock shortages.
 Draft and translate letters English to Dari and Pushto or vice versa.
 Assist inventory officer to collect complete package of purchased
documents (PRF, PO, invoice and GRN etc.) from cluster offices and
procurement t
 Assist inventory officer to prepare annual Inventory Report for main
office in first of May of each year.
 Assist liaison officer for collection of data from Finance, HR and
technical departments for submission of semiannual report to MoEC.
 Assist to obtain airport entry permits for Jhpiego vehicles.
 Asist Admin team for shipments custom clearance.
 Undertake any other tasks assigned by the supervisor relevant to the
job.

Job Requirements

Desired Qualifications
 Graduated from 16th Class (Bachelor’s degree).

 3 to 4 years working experience in relevant field with international
organizations.
 Strong technical skill in administration.
 Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills with a service-oriented
outlook.
 Having previous experience with USAID funded project will be an
advantage.
