Community Action for Healing Poverty Organization (CAHPO) is Afghanistan-based NGO (www.chapo.com ) has been established in 2013 by a group of expertise in support of professional advisers and volunteers in response to the needs. was that people affected by different means of violence should be involved in decision-making for positive change in the development process of the country. 

CAHPO is a member of different coordination bodies E.g ACBAR where we share our programs with other NGOs and partners.  CAHPO is an active partner of UN OCHA, AHF, and FAO.

Job Description

[Describe an overview of job mission general POSITION SUMMARY:

The position is responsible for all administrative and logistic affairs of CAHPO’s Lashkargah office. He will be supporting the implementation of FAO funded project in Helmand.

 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  1. Coordinate with Kabul unit head and Director General on all administrative and logistic matters as appropriate.
  2. Make sure that office setup is as per the CAHPO standard.
  3. Maintain the office environment clean.
  4. Maintain records of expenses of pity cash.
  5. Send financial report to CAHPO main office regularly.
  6. Organize all travel arrangements including bookings, accommodations for CAHPO staff and guests, and other logistics responsibilities as required.
  7. Maintain and send copies of all staff timesheets to Kabul (finance).
  8. Maintain copies and send all original office, warehouse, vehicle, housing, transportation, service and other contracts to Kabul.
  9. Ensure all new staff are oriented on CAHPO Personnel Policies and Procedures.
  10. Make certain all staff receives updates, revisions or addendums to the CAHPO Personnel Policies and Procedures Handbook.
  11. Keep and maintain accurate inventory management records, including inventory labelling and tracking in accordance with CAHPO Purchase and Procurement Policies.
  12. Provide and/or arrange hardware and software support to field office.
  13. Manage and oversee all office maintenance details.
  14. Assist the project coordinator and district coordinators in developing and then implementing the Field Security Manual.
  15. Conduct himself/herself both professionally and personally in such a manner as to bring credit to CAHPO and to not jeopardize its humanitarian mission.
  16. Other duties as assigned.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY:

He has the supervisory responsibilities of logistic officer, guards, drivers, storekeepers.

 

ACCOUNTABILITY

REPORTS DIRECTLY TO:  Admin and finance heads of CAHPO's main office  

WORKS DIRECTLY WITH:  Logistic officer and project coordinator

Job Requirements

KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE:

Ability to provide guidance to his/her supervisees.

Willingness and ability to perform admin and finance related matters of CAHPO’s Lashkargah office.

Bachelor’s degree in a related field: public administration and or finance.

Previous working experience in admin and finance preferably FAO projects.

Good problem-solving and organizational skills.

Demonstrated abilities in planning, organizing, analysis and financial reporting.

Ability to interact effectively with personnel.

Fluent in spoken and written English, as well as local language.

Excellent computer skills. 

Strong team player.
